Anger Management "Anger Management" is a psychoeducational program developed by a University of Alberta Psychology Intern, Stephanie Mackey (2005) for the offenders at the Fort Saskatchewan Correctional Centre. The goal of the program is to help individuals effectively and appropriately deal with anger. "Anger Management" was designed with the aim of presenting accurate information in a easily understandable form with the intent to be facilitated in an engaging manner that encourages class participation. The program incorporates a variety of teaching strategies such as lectures, group discussions, interactive exercises, and handouts to promote active participation. This program is typically facilitated for 2.5 hours a day over a four day period and is divided into the categories of: 1) Prevention 2) Containment 3) Resolution Each day of instruction devoted to one of these categories. Facilitator's notes are included in the PowerPoint presentation and offer additional information on the structure and function of the program. Please feel free to adapt any portion of this program to better suit your own personal presentation.
